Those lists are currently empty as we haven’t added any items yet. “ create empty list” block can be found in Lists drawer in your blocks editor. We have just created four empty lists above, named list1, list2, list3, and userList. Note that the comments in yellow in the image above are not part of the application. Also note that 1 and 1.25 are both numbers while list indexes are referred by only whole numbers. The purpose of that is to give you alternative ideas which you may need in the future. Also, for some operations I tried to control it through block editor which actually you can control from designer window like checking if a text box contains only numbers which you can do by enabling the NumbersOnly option in the designer window for a TextBox component, you can specify a ListPicker’s elements through ElementsFromString property in the designer window which I also implemented from block editor window. Once you understand the application, trust me, you will be able to rearrange the pieces in more efficient way. I tried to keep the source as clean as possible without optimizing it too much for beginners to understand. You should be able to see those comments once you load the source in your block editor window. In the source, I have added plenty of comments for you to easily understand the implementation.

I recommend you to download the source of this application ListBlocks and try it on an emulator or on a device so you will have better understanding of list manipulation. The snapshot below is from our tutorial app.
#IMAGE WITH BUTTON BLOCS APP HOW TO#
In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a list, add new items to a list, display list items, replace an item in the list, remove an item or remove everything from a list, search for an item, and sort a list. Please go over the reference before we start. This is the easiest way to create and manipulate a set of values/items/elements in an ordered fashion. You can now apply additional images for both and these additional images will be served to a visitor if they have a device with a higher pixel density.List is a necessity in almost every app regardless of what programming language you use. Now if you Left Click the image thumbnail located directly below the segmented control, you will be asked to select the specific image file to be shown in that resolution. Under the section labelled Data, there is a 3 way segmented control with each option labelled and Left Clicking any of the 3 options will set the image options for that target resolution. To add multiple resolutions for an image Bric, simply select the Image on the design canvas by Left Clicking it and then navigate to the sidebar inspector options. Once you have your images created in the 3 required sizes, Blocs makes it very simple to add them to a project in order to deploy the correct size based on the users screen density. Basically an image is twice the size in pixels as an image and an image is three times the size of an image, – 50x50px normal – 100x100px 2x the size of – 150x150px 3x the size of creating multi resolution images, it’s common to apply a text suffix in the file name for the higher resolutions, so they can be easily identified e.g. If you are not from a design background, this may sound a little confusing. Multiple resolution files are usually required in three – Standard Resolution 1:1 – Double Resolution 2:1 – Triple Resolution 3:1 pixels If you want to make the images from your site look really sharp on both standard and high resolution screens, you will need to provide addition versions of your image files with different pixel densities. Most mobile phones and a lot of modern computers now have high resolution (Retina) screens, this means they have a higher pixel density.
